Its okay to have shiitake mushrooms during your pregnancy only after thoroughly cooking them. Shiitake mushrooms boost your immunity and offer antibacterial, antifungal, and antioxidant properties. However, stay away from eating raw mushrooms as cell walls of mushrooms are difficult to digest and may cause an upset stomach.
