What are the benefits of having European Anchovy during pregnancy

According to the US Food and Drug administration (FDA), European Anchovy is one of the best choices among seafood for pregnant women. It is recommended for expecting mothers to have 2-3 servings of this fish every week; wherein one serving is equivalent to 4 ounces.
Anchovies are rich in protein with nearly 41% of protein content in each serving. Proteins are essential for the functioning of every cell in the body and contribute to the growth and development of the baby. They also help in making antibodies for the immune system, in the production of hormones and enzymes and in transporting oxygen through the blood stream of the foetus. Hence, women can include European anchovies in their pregnancy diet regularly.
