Pregnant women can have all types of hard, caraway cheeses like swiss, cheddar, gouda and emmental in a regulated amount during the 9 months. They can also have semi-soft cheeses made with pasteurized milk that are cooked at high temperatures. However, since the excess of consumption of caraway seeds can lead to miscarriage and premature labour, it is recommended that you consult your doctor before including any type of caraway cheese in your diet.
