Freshwater drum fish is so nutritious. Why should I be cautious while having it during pregnancy?

The Health Unit Canada categories drum fish as safe to eat during pregnancy. But, it is known to have medium levels of mercury in it. Hence, you have to limit your intake to 1/2 servings or 37.5 grams per week to avoid mercury poisoning. Also make sure that you have drum fish which is fully cooked as raw fish tends to have listeria bacteria.
