Yes, you can have ricotta cheese during pregnancy. Ricotta cheese is rich in a long list of nutrients including calcium, protein, folate, phosphorous, potassium, vitamin A and vitamin D. A cup-sized serving of ricotta cheese contains 14 grams of calcium. The American Pregnancy Association suggests that pregnant women should have 75-100 grams of protein per day. A protein rich diet will help stave off hunger and help you to make it through your pregnancy without putting on too much weight.
