What are the benefits of eating celery during pregnancy

Eating celery in pregnancy has a lot of benefits. Celery is a natural diuretic and can help relieve excessive fluid collection, which is particularly helpful if the pregnant woman is suffering from swollen ankles or puffiness around the eyes. A good source of fibre, celery helps prevent haemorrhoids and constipation during pregnancy. It has no fat, helps control your blood sugar levels, and therefore prevents gestational diabetes. During your final trimester, celery is a particularly good choice as it is rich in silica, a mineral that can help keep the skin hydrated while it is stretched to its fullest. However, you must wash your celery well before eating, to get rid of any bacteria.
