According to a study conducted by the National Center for Biotechnology Information, having rhubarb in low doses can help in preventing pregnancy induced hypertension. It is also rich in vitamin K, a nutrient essential for blood clotting. According to the American Pregnancy Association, pregnant women need 90 μg of vitamin K daily. Hence, if eaten in moderation, rhubarb can be a good addition to your pregnancy diet.
