Yes. Seaweed is high on fibre and helps overcome constipation and improves digestion during pregnancy. Folate present in seaweed helps in fetal brain development and prevents neural tube defects such as spina bifida. Vitamin C in seaweed helps in the absorption of iron which is essential for mothers-to-be. Seaweed also helps fight depression known to be common during pregnancy.
