Not really. Oyster mushrooms are helpful for pregnant women as it contains folate, which is needed to make DNA, RNA, and red blood cells, and to synthesize certain amino acids. Folate also helps to prevent congenital neurological defects in pregnant women or women who are planning pregnancy. However, many people experience an hypersensitive reaction to the spores of this type of mushroom. It has also been reported that oyster mushrooms may cause an upset stomach, particularly if consumed in large amounts.
